COUNCIL REJECTS US

"Iraq's

IRAQ:
ANYBODY GOT A PLAN?
"If it can't yet
point to a happy ending
in Iraq, the Bush
administration at least
needs to show Americans
that it has a plan for
winning the peace. It
was that need that
brought Washington's
point man in Iraq,
Ambassador J. Paul
Bremer, rushing home
last November for
unscheduled
consultations at the
White House. Back then,
the U.S. casualty total
was climbing steadily
and there was no sign of
an end to the
insurgency; Capitol Hill
was reeling from sticker
shock over the
administration's $87
billion budget request;
the Iraqi Governing
Council handpicked by
Bremer had failed to
achieve legitimacy and
was making no progress
towards drawing up a new
constitution. All of
that made Bremer's
three-year plan for
nurturing Iraqi
democracy a luxury the
Bush administration
could no longer afford.
So, not for the first
time since the fall of
Saddam Hussein, the Bush
administration changed
its plan for
Iraq.." Complete

GULFWIRE DIGEST #185
WEEK OF FEB 24, 2003
SECRET
SAUDI PLAN - CROWN
PRINCE FLOATS ISLAMIC
OCCUPATION FORCE FOR
IRAQ
"The Saudis are
proposing that after
Saddam Hussein's fall,
Saudi Arabia should lead
a coalition of Islamic
nation occupy Iraq while
a transitional Iraqi
government is
established, with Turkey
playing the leading role
in the Islamic force.
Senior government
officials told ABC NEWS
that according to the
Crown Prince, an Islamic
occupation force would
defuse the anti-American
hostility that is
sweeping the Middle East
and putting pressure on
moderate Arab
governments that are
allied with the United
States. The Saudis would
then be free to crack
down on the extremist
Jihadis in the Kingdom
who are allied with al
Qaeda or are sympathetic
to Osama bin Laden.

key conclusions from the

Real Estate Finance Company share

following: - The UAE and GCC
markets have a substantial cash
liquidity that does not have the
necessary investment channels in
