ARAB-ISRAELI SETTLEMENT CONDITIONS VOICED
"The UAE's position on a Middle East peace agreement was expressed to visiting U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Near East Affairs Edward Walker according to the official news agency WAM in a report cited by AFP on August 13. Abu Dhabi's Crown Prince Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan told Walker, "No Middle East settlement will be complete if the Palestinian people do not have all their rights, such as establishing an independent state on their land with Jerusalem as its capital." He added, "A comprehensive and just peace requires the implementation of international resolutions concerning the territories Israel occupied in 1967, including Jerusalem."
